NFL star Travis Kelce has opened up about the moment he fell in love with Taylor Swift, saying the pair “kept it between us as much as possible.”
Speaking on Barstool Sports’ Bussin With The Boys podcast, Kelce was asked if he was teased by his teammates for dating Swift, but he said everyone was supportive of the couple.
Kelce said he accepted “no s***” but said “no one knew what was going on,” despite the fact that he made no attempt to hide his relationship with the Pennsylvania-born singer.

He said: “We kept it between us as much as we could, but as soon as she came to play, it just went the hell out of there.
“It’s like you want to keep things a secret, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything, like, ‘that’s my girl.’
“It’s my lady so I’m proud of it, it’s not like I’m sitting there trying to juggle and see how I can keep this a secret.
“You just don’t want to let anyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it knowing that everything she does is going to get a headline.”
But Kelce revealed that the increased interest in his personal life took some time, especially when photographers and fans showed up at his home.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end said he noticed the couple’s fan base bonding and credited Swift with bringing more kids and families to the NFL.
He said the Swifties watching the NFL was “such a positive thing” for the sport and added that after she started watching him play, he fell in love with her.
Kelce added, “She’s very self-aware, but at the same time, she understands situations like these, and I think why I really started to fall for her was how genuine she was with friends and family.
“There were a couple of weeks there where between every play they were filming her and we understand.
“But the first game she came in against the Bears, I thought I could probably fix everything for you, but no, she’s just the way I want to be around friends and family and experience that with everybody.
“She got points for it, I was like, damn, she’s crazy, she wants to be a part of it, she wants to support me and do stuff like that.
“I thought, man, she really won me over with that.”
Kelce said he also enjoys supporting Swift, describing her concerts as “electric” and adding that he “enjoys seeing her in her element and killing it on stage.”
The NFL star said Swift “has some kicks” and was then asked to name his top three Swift songs.
Kelce said Blank Space was his favorite as it was the first he listened to, and put Cruel Summer in second place, describing it as an “absolute smash” of her live shows.
Kelce said his third favorite Swift track is So High School, which was written about the relationship between her and the American football player and tells the story of their early relationship.
