Mercedes-AMG reveals a whole range of nature-themed G-Wagens

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG G 63 lineup continues to grow, this time with a sextet of nature-inspired special editions.
The AMG “Elements Edition” series offers six unique exterior and interior combinations G 63named Water, Desert, Gravel, Forest, Snow and Asphalt.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed they will be coming to local showrooms, but in unspecified, limited numbers, with prices starting at $387,661 before on-road costs – or $24,000 more than the G 63 on which they’re based.

Unique exterior equipment for the G 63 Elements Edition includes available 22-inch matte black five-spoke forged wheels (cross-spoke wheels are also available), new puddle lights with “G – Stronger Than Time” ground clearance, and standard mounting some AMG Night Package trim highlights.
Interior changes include: cherry wood trunk floor; perforated Nappa leather seats, door panels and armrests with diamond stitching; Burmester surround sound system; sliding glass skylight; ionization of indoor air; silver chrome air vents and window switches; plus black microfiber roof lining and sunshades.
Additional standard features include an AMG performance steering wheel, a rubber boot mat and the AMG Performance Package, which increases the top speed to 240 km/h.
There is also a carbon fiber engine cover.
The six Element Edition variants differ as follows:
- Water – Vintage Blue Non-Metallic paint, Yacht Blue and Black leather interior (or Black leather with contrasting Yacht Blue topstitching)
- Desert – Kalahari Gold paint, Titanium Gray Pearl and Black leather interior (or Black leather with contrasting gold topstitching)
- Gravel – Classic Gray non-metallic paint, Platinum White and Black leather interior (or Black leather with white contrast topstitching)
- Forest – Deep Green non-metallic paint, Espresso Brown and Black leather interior (or Black leather with contrasting topstitching in Bronze)
- Snow – Opal White Magno paint, Platinum White and Black leather interior (or Black leather with white contrast topstitching)
- Tarmac – Night black magno paint, Bengal red and black leather interior (or black leather with red contrast topstitching)
There are no changes to the G 63’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 430kW of power and 850Nm, sending drive to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 goes on sale in Australia on June 19, 2024.
