Although not confirmed, it is likely that this test mule is equipped with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine that we will eventually see in the 2026 911 GT2 RS.

The previous generation 911 GT2 RS set the record for fastest rear-wheel drive production car at the Nürburgring in 2017 and set the overall record in 2021 with the addition of an upgrade package.
Last year it was beaten by the Mercedes-AMG One, although the F1-powered hypercar clocked a time less than 10 seconds faster than the modified GT2 RS, suggesting the new model could be within striking distance of reclaiming the crown .
