Joseph Joseph was first established in 2003 by Richard and his twin brother Joseph after designing their “first product: a glass cutting board”.
“Growing up in a family deeply rooted in design and manufacturing, we have a shared passion for innovation and creating problem-solving solutions to improve everyday tasks around the house,” Richard tells Best Picks.
“Our ethos has remained consistent for over 20 years.
“We want to create high-quality, brilliantly useful designs that make life easier. What started as a side project born out of our adorable smart design soon became the foundation of our new venture.”
Over the years, Joseph Joseph together they’ve designed all kinds of game-changing gadgets – whether you’re looking for amazing garlic press, multi-section laundry basket or smart draining board.
Most recently, they released their revolutionary Range of cookware Spacewhich is designed to save 50 percent more space than standard cookware.
This is thanks to “revolutionary” SwingLock technologywhich allows the ergonomically designed stainless steel handles of the pans to fold on their own.
The collection five years in the making and expertly crafted for chefs and made to last.
“We’ve spent years on this design so that it not only delivers professional quality, but also solves the age-old problem of cookware storage,” says Richard.
“The designed folding handle is completely stable in use and with a simple click mechanism folds inward for compact and space-saving cookware storage.

As for the overall brand ideas, Richard says that’s about it identifying problems—and trying to solve them.
“Identifying the problems that need to be solved when launching new products is about honing in on the challenges that people face in their daily routines,” explains Richard.
“We are driven by a relentless pursuit of improvement, we are constantly looking to understand how we can make tasks around the home more efficient and enjoyable.”
He adds: “By researching, prototyping and testing our ideas in our design studio in London, Antony and I ensure that our products not only meet but exceed the demands of modern life.”
What’s next? The world is Joseph Joseph’s oyster.
“We are always exploring new ideas; we love solving problems around the home and finding innovative solutions to everyday problems and frustrations,” says Richard.
